DriveClue

Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information DriveClue collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors in Canada and the United States.

Information we collect

  • Sellers: name, e-mail, optional phone number, vehicle details, photos and location (city, province/state, postal/ZIP code).
  • Buyers who message a seller: name, e-mail, optional phone and the message, which we forward to the seller.
  • All visitors: device and usage data collected with cookies and similar technologies, if you allow them.

How we use it

  • To publish listings and deliver messages between buyers and sellers.
  • To prevent fraud and spam and keep the marketplace safe.
  • To measure and improve the site, and — with your consent — to show and measure advertising.

Cookies and advertising

This site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense, and we use Google Analytics to understand traffic. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

  • In the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Quebec we ask for your consent first. Until you accept, ads are non-personalized and analytics run in a restricted, cookieless mode.
  • Elsewhere in Canada and the United States ads may be personalized by default. You can opt out at any time using the “Cookie & ad settings” link at the bottom of every page and choosing “Essential only”; you will still see ads, but they won't be based on your interests.

Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.

Sharing

We share information with the seller or buyer you contact, with service providers who host the site and send e-mail on our behalf, and when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

We keep listing and message data while your listing is active and for a limited period afterwards for fraud prevention, then delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25, or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information and to withdraw consent. E-mail [email protected] to make a request.
